other New-Zealanders or inhabitants of New-Zealand

in Auckland we saw very many people from Asia, but less then all over the country. A New Zealander on the camp told us that it happens since the last 5 years, because of they are very poor and see an opportunity to get more money and live beter than in their own country. They do go back "home" for holidays (2 weeks).
Auckland has an university, so we see many students from different countries.
But: Auckland is nevertheless a stad without stressful people, everybody does walk his own way, watching for other people. An old woman from Malaysia for example talked to me in the bus, stept uit saying nice talking to you, she told me too that the city here is very clean . An other example: they used to say thanks to the busdriver, when they step out the bus and the driver answers too with thanks! The city of Auckland tells 1,2 millions of inhabitants.
