'everyone poops'. Here at the Toilet Culture Park in Suwon, South Korea,
visitors are encouraged to get into the spirit of the toilet.

Sheets-Nygard, Saying: "I think it could change someone's perception.
Particularly, if there are a little uptight or embarrassed about toilet
or toilet habits, because this makes you laugh." But watch your potty
mouth, it's not all toilet humor here. Latrines were serious business
for the former mayor of this town. After his birth in a loo, he came out
of the proverbial water closet and decided to devote his life to the
lavatory. He used to live here, in this commode shaped abode. But he
turned it into a museum in an attempt to lift the lid on negative toilet
stereotypes. More than 20,000 guests have passed through the park so
far. Exploring the truth about the call of nature. And you can bet one
way or another, they're getting to the bottom of it.
De Wereld Toilet Dag of de World Toilet Day vraagt wereldwijd aandacht voor het verbeteren van sanitaire voorzieningen. De Wereld Toilet Dag is op 19 november en bestaat sinds 2001.
Volgens de World Toilet Organization (WTO) is er wel veel aandacht voor water voorziening maar nog te weinig aandacht voor sanitaire voorzieningen. Volgens de WTO organisatie hebben wereldwijd 2,5 miljard mensen geen schoon toilet en 1,1 miljard mensen helemaal geen toilet. De WTO bereikt een groot publiek en zet overheden aan tot actie. Naar een schoon toilet kunnen is een mensenrecht en geen luxe.
